About Beautiful Minds

This website was originally created to be a part of my Girl Scout Gold Award project, but it has become so much more.

When we struggle with our mental health, it can be difficult to admit it to others. We always want to keep it inside and put on a brave face so that others won't know that anything is wrong. Because so many of us feel this way, it can be easy to feel alone, even when there are thousands of people out there who know exactly how you feel.

I've definitely been there myself.

So I wanted to create a place where people could hear others' stories and see that they truly are not alone. There is a great comfort in knowing that there are other people in our situations, and I want to help people like you find that comfort here.

Here, you can both read and hear about other people's stories, as well as share your own. I believe that the only way we can get rid of the stigmas surrounding mental health is to increase conversation about it and prove to people that it is nothing to be scared or ashamed of. And seeing the vulnerability of others may just help some of you find the courage to be vulnerable yourselves.

If you are looking to find tools to fight your own battle, I'm proud of you for taking this step and joining us here. Just remember that this fight is one worth fighting because you are worthy of life, love, and happiness. 

If you are here for someone else, or maybe just to learn in general, I hope this website can be of service to you. Please understand that not everyone struggles with mental health in the same way. 

We are all fighting our own battles, but doing so together.
